We raise a very friendly and healthy herd of goats on the farm.  They are a mix of Nubian, Saanen, and Lamancha goats. During the main growing season every year, our pregnant goats give birth to baby goats and we milk the mother goats. So, we usually have fresh milk on hand every morning. From the milk, we make fresh yogurt, kefir, and cheese. We use the milk in our cooking and baking as well.

The goats are also important to our soil as they provide a vital component to our compost, goat manure. This component adds nitrogen and heat to our compost as well as the hay bedding that comes with it.

We highly value our friendly and relaxed alpha, Linda, that leads the herd and is an example of friendly behavior with humans. She also gives amazing body massages with her head!
