Secret Swimming Holes

Micha Jump

Oregon boasts some of the best summer swimming holes in the US.  Because of the abundance of water and two mountain ranges that span the state from north to south, you can find swimming anywhere on the west coast of Oregon.  Most of the well-known swimming holes reside in the Coast and Cascade mountain ranges surrounding the populated Willamette valley, which spans Eugene north to Portland.  However, southern Oregon’s swimming holes are genuine hidden treasures that don’t dot online maps and populate travel blogs.  Throughout our time in this region, we’ve earmarked three coastal rivers that have pristine swimming holes where you’re unlikely to share the water with another group.  These swimming holes range from rock jumping and rope swinging into crystal-clear turquoise lagoons, to waterfall coves in the upper reaches of some of Oregon’s most amazing coastal old-growth headwaters.

Our Swimming hole tour will consist of 3-4 hours at one swimming hole per day, as well as a picnic lunch with farm fresh foods and beverages from our garden and orchard.  We encourage guests to pick two or three days to explore these incredible locations.

If you’ve already booked your reservation and meals at the farm, or you do not plan to stay overnight at the farm, you may choose to book any of our experiences as an “A La Carte” option.  If you’ve already booked through Airbnb and are interested in booking a guided experience, please contact us to check for availability.  Book in groups of four to save.

Our farm-stay package includes a two night stay in our farm-house with two farm-fresh gourmet breakfasts and two garden-to-table dinners produced from our own hand-crafted foods and alcohols.  All ingredients in meals that are not grown or foraged from Myrtle Glen Farm, are sourced locally from organic and/or sustainable sources.  If you’re interested in booking a package, please contact us to check for availability.
