About Us

We, Micha and Dan, are the owners, farmers, and hosts of Myrtle Glen Farm. In 2015, with minimal farm experience, we bought the farm, which was also operated as an organic farm for over 30 years prior. We continue in the similar tradition of the previous farm but have expanded to a larger garden that now feeds the community and provides herbs for their Wild Coast Brew tea company. We now have been farming intensively since 2015 and have developed sustainable and whole-systems practices. We are proud of the ways in which we run the farm with the goals toward sustainability in all its facets. While our farm is not certified organic, our farming practices meet or exceed the national organic standards. We do not use any synthetic chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers ever. We use minimal tillage, cover crops, mulch, and compost to preserve and enhance soil structure and health. As a host member of WwoofUSA, we are proud of all the wonderful farm volunteers that help us in enacting the vision of sharing food, knowledge, and care to make this community better.

We are also intentional about being involved in local groups that make our community better. Here are two of our favorite local groups that we work with in our community. Please check them out and support these groups.
